Overview

A brief overview of the features and purpose of Rx-ID

What is EZ-Rx-ID?

EZ-Rx-ID is an AI-powered medication identifier that also generates summaries of medical data from FDA and NIH datasets to raise awareness and reduce medical mistrust.

What is the purpose of EZ-Rx-ID?

Healthcare professionals often have to search online to identify medications, going to one website like drugs.com to identify the pill based on its appearance, manually inputting the imprint, color, and shape of the pill. EZ-Rx-ID aims to simplify this process by allowing you to just snap a picture of the pill instead and get an instant AI generated summary of what that pill does from trustable sources.

EZ-Rx-ID Features

EZ-Rx-ID has two key components:

  1. Computer vision ensemble method trained on 200,000 images for medicine identification

  2. Agentic RAG model built on DeepSeek summarizing complex clinical trials and medical data

However, our other features include:

  • 🧬 Supabase holding pill images for model training, along with metadata and indexes

  • 🧫 Gemini judge model, evaluating generated responses

  • 💉 AI tool calling agent, gathering context from trusted sources if response is not valid

  • 🩺 Efficient data pipeline built with LangChain, FAISS, and FlagEmbeddings
